RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
Is there one wire for the gauge and one for sth like the Vipec or do you just split the cable with the "signal" yourself?

I am working on solutions to wiring in wideband to the narrow band. I will try and get a fix for this by the time we ship............I sent an email to Vipec's lead engineer. Like Jan said, he working on something. If it doesn't pan out then yeah you can feed the 0-5v wire into a AUX port on the vipec and be good to go... |

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
Is ViPEC's logger supported by VD?
If you plan on doing any sort of street tuning yourself, than a wideband is absolutely nessicary. The factory narow band sensors really dont tell you shit. If you arent doing your own tuning on the street though, you can get away with not having one installed. Pretty much every dyno I know of has it's own logging capabilities for AFR/lambada/boost/vac through probes and tailpipe sniffers. The way I see it though, the gauges are affordable and cheap to install, plus you can never have too much info about what your engine is doing on the fly. Easily agitated, Half way retarded, and mentally unstable... Cant put up with it? SUCK MY RICHARD!! |

RE: Vipec pre-order signup!
I don't want to rain on the parade, but I was going to buy the MXT-L and wanted it, but found some negative reviews and followed them even to the innovate forums. Some guys had three new ones all showing errors and this was very recently. Seems maybe that they had a bad batch, or there is a flaw in the design, but there were too many bad reviews and I ended up getting a butt ugly LT1 kit on ebay for $168 or so. It is digital, comes in red or blue, but I really want it for the output for the vipec and the place I have for it is under the center console so no one will see the butt ugliness. I am just too lazy to mess with this and traded the better looking new one for the butt ugly old one with a solid track record.
After I ordered, on the Vipec forum, I found them recommending a different brand, but I was depressed I already bought one so I ignored it, but it was somewhere on the forum. The innovate will certainly work fine. Just a heads up. There was some contradictory data, but that is what I decided they were saying. Best ask others, but that was my read. From the vipec manual I read.... Any Analogue Volt channel may be used to accept the signal from a wide-band EGO sensor controller. Note that VX ECU's cannot accept the signal directly from a wide-band sensor. A wide-band controller works as an interface between a wide-band O2 sensor and the ECU. The controller should connect directly to the sensor and output a voltage between 0 and 5V. 9 out of the 10 voices in my head are telling me to "Floor it!"

I will get mine and test it and see how it goes. I love my LC-1. Thanks for the heads up though. As far as the cable. It depends on the wideband. If its a good one it will have a 0-5v feed coming off. If its cheap...good luck. My LC-1 it comes off the wideband wires itself, the MTX-L it comes off the gauge as its one unit. The AEM UGEO I also believe comes off the gauge. Its all tied in though....need less to say as long as you get a good wideband you are going to have a 5V feed on it.... HRM what were the problems they were having with them? |

Honestly, with my bad back, I just can't deal with underdash much and that had a huge effect on my decision. You can find some here http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/forum...y.php?f=23 And I think I looked at the Amazon reviews, http://www.amazon.com/Innovate-Motorspor...ewpoints=1 sometimes I google things like this. I can't quite remember. 9 out of the 10 voices in my head are telling me to "Floor it!"
