RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
Lol mind telling me what comapny u work for? I'm gonna make sure i dont buy any of their products!! Haha jkjk!! But in all honesty. It's weird it it was the fuse that it'd lock up after 2 days and not immediately. Hopefully it had to trip something over a period of time. My fingers r crossed.

I'll cross my fingers that's the problem. That should have been obvious. I'm an electrical engineer.

The shop has it working now but adding the other fuse wasn't the fix. They said all the electronic modules were locked up with codes indicating a ground fault. Maybe some sort of voltage spike when I was reconnecting the battery? Right now we have all the connectors unplugged from the HFS-3. Hopefully all will be well when it's hooked back up. More later.

I actually design high power lasers so I'm more used to dealing with photons than electronsSmile

Touche. And i work on a different type of turbine.. much larger in size and produces about 9000 lbs of thrust, and gets Jan over to our side of the country for tuning lol

Let us know how it goes. Coulda been a coNnection that want loose

I think Thumper was just trying to give the other racers a chance by nerfing his motor to 3 cylinders. :-D

Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
Back to happy again! But with a dent in the wallet. 6hours of troubleshooting and code clearing labor got the car's electronics running normal without replacing any parts.
The root cause may have been somehow related to forgetting the second fuse in the add-a-fuse or to connecting the negative battery terminal before the positive. I'll probably never know for sure. It's still odd that it was fine for two days before came down with the problems. Hopefully it won't happen again.

Nice! Glad to hear it's fixed. So you have the HFS-3 turned back on now?

Negative before the positive.... Who cares, it doesn't matter on any electronics I have done in 44 years of doing electronics. Yes I started very young.
Glad you got it fixed. Smile
