I agree with you Colin. We can start with meth for now, and go on with other "more useful" mods... We can add a W2A intercooler in a second moment, but I think meth solves most of the problems we have now...

We worked quite a bit on the manual today. My assumption was that I would be able to modify and update the R53 manual for the 56. It seems there is not much very similar, so it's a whole new manual. It may take another day or two to get it together, as well as some more pics I'd like to get to include. I'll keep everyone updated.

I'll also check on the sheet metal in the morning and push that along as well.

With the W/M inj. kit would I be better off with 93 octane /w 10% Ethanol or 91 octane pure gas and why.

I think between those two, it would depend on the quality of the gas more than anything. You like to have as much octae as possible, but i'm not sure there is going to be a huge difference between those two.

I was told by a Mini Service Manager (and friend) to stick to Shell, Union76, or Chevron gas because of their higher quality and lower ethanol content. He said the higher ethanol content in some fuels causes the fuel pump to run a lot hotter.

Anyone know why ethanol would make the FP run hotter?

Chevron and Shell are Top Tier so would have the 8% to 10% ethanol.

To add/update to my question of which gas to use.
1. 93 octane
2. 91 octane no ethanol
3. 91 octane Top Tier gas

Top Tier is recommended by BMW btw.

RE: Aquamist HFS-3 and MINI Tank GB
An update for all: The left handed sheet metal was completed today and sent out for coating. We should have it on Monday. The right hand sheet metal will go to coating on Friday. We are prepping all we can now to get units out as fast as possible once we have everything.
We are expecting a shipment of pumps any day, as we will be short on to supply all the kits immediately. These we ordered weeks ago, but we have no control over any delays. They are set to ship any time.

The cliff-notes version: We should have 7-8 of the kits ready by mid-next week, with the others following shortly.

We have been working on the manual as much as possible, but have had some setbacks eat up valuable time. Our main website was attacked, and had to be taken down immediately. We are working to get it restored asap. I'll try to get the manual at least 95% complete for the 56 so everyone can get a look at it. Thanks for the patience.
